Some unsweetened products may contain sugar or some sweeteners, foreign nutritionist Buket Ertash Sefer reminded in an interview.
The specialist spoke about products that can imperceptibly increase blood sugar levels. Such products contain added sugar, corn syrup, and other sugar derivatives.
In particular, sauces are distinguished by this property. According to the nutritionist, it is better for sauce lovers to prepare them themselves, using natural ingredients – ready-made products often contain unnecessary additives that affect sugar levels.
Ready-made lemon and pomegranate sour sauces contain quite a lot of sugar. You can also argue for a long time about which is more harmful – French fries or ketchup.
In addition, the nutritionist advised to exclude fruit-flavored drinks from the diet – juices, water, kefir, etc. Their consumption is associated with a sharp increase in blood sugar levels.
