Other symptoms may appear with the development of the tumor. The following symptoms require immediate medical attention.
- Problems with swallowing.
- Fewer episodes of nausea.
- Loss of appetite.
- Unexplained weight loss.
- Anemia.
- Unusual dark stools
- Feeling of pressure, fullness in upper abdomen
- Fatigue, low energy and productivity.
Who is prone to stomach cancer? According to the Robert Koch Institute, men get sick more often than women. It is not known exactly what causes the disease. However, there are some risk factors that can contribute to the development of stomach cancer.
- Smoking.
- Excessive alcohol consumption.
- Frequent use of salty, dried or smoked products.
- Deficiency in eating fruits and vegetables.
- Chronic inflammation of the stomach lining caused by Helicobacter pylori bacteria.
- Anemia due to vitamin deficiency B12.
- Genetic predisposition.
