There are ways people can reduce their risk of this heart attack – vascular event. Two of the most effective are a balanced diet and regular exercise. One of the main factors to consider in the first case is controlling salt intake.
High salt intake is one of the main risk factors for high blood pressure, the main cause of stroke.

“Most of the salt we eat is 'hidden' in processed foods such as ready meals, crisps, nuts, cakes, biscuits and processed meats. Avoid adding salt to food while cooking or at the table. Instead, try using fresh ginger, lemon juice, chili peppers, or dried herbs and spices to flavor your food.”
Some people use low-salt foods to reduce their salt intake. Be sure to check with your doctor before using them because they are not suitable for people with kidney problems and those taking medications that affect potassium levels.
Other risk factors for stroke include lifestyle habits lifestyle, such as smoking and drinking alcohol.
