Study: What people regret most often
1
American writer and journalist Daniel Pink compiled a database of regrets shared by social media users from around the world. Thus, he decided to analyze the patterns and find ways to live a more fulfilling life.
According to Pink, most often people regret the inability to find contact with other people, especially in relationships that have ended. Based on the data he received, he formulated his own rule for minimizing regret: always extend a helping hand when you think about whether to help someone.
It should be noted that this idea is supported by a study conducted by the University of Pittsburgh. It, in turn, showed that establishing contact with friends, acquaintances or even former colleagues has a significant impact on a person. Even if the contact was brief.
The results of the study show that unless the situation is clearly toxic or abusive, it is always worth extending a helping hand to others.
