When it comes time to choose mulch and protect plants from subzero temperatures, the question arises about the material. Spunbond, film, sawdust, peat, humus – what else do summer residents not use. But there is one tool that allows you to organize protection in seconds.
Simple solutions for flower beds
Small hydrangeas, geyheras, lavender bushes, conifers can be covered with plastic pots and containers. Of course, they need to be chosen according to the size of the plant.
Make holes for air access. Cover the plant. To prevent the container from blowing away, place a brick or stone on top. This will protect the structure from the wind.
This protection has the advantage that plants, such as delicate geyheras, will be preserved until spring. They will not wither or dry out from the effects of cold winds.
