Sweating can occur as a symptom of dangerous diseases

Excessive sweating can be a hereditary trait, but in some cases it indicates dangerous pathologies, including diabetes and cancer.

Except in cases where sweating is an inherited feature (this usually becomes clear in adolescence), it can occur as a symptom of dangerous diseases. For example, as a symptom of diabetes.

People often sweat because of diabetes, especially when sugar levels rise.

When you have diabetes, you can also notice the following changes in your body: you start to feel increased thirst and exaggerated hunger, you urinate more frequently, you have itchy skin, you gain weight or, conversely, lose weight. If all this is observed in addition to sweating, you need to see a doctor.

Another dangerous cause of sweating is hyperthyroidism, which is characterized by excessive activity of the thyroid gland and excessive secretion of hormones. This disease also leads to the appearance of symptoms such as trembling hands, weight loss with a good appetite, heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmia), insomnia, and mood swings.

In addition, sweating can be explained by neurological disorders – in particular, the presence of epilepsy. Another dangerous cause is cancer.

“With leukemia, intense night sweats occur, incomprehensible bruises appear on the body, weakness occurs, and weight drops.”

Sweating also warns of a heart attack. With a heart attack, it occurs without any connection with the ambient temperature or physical exertion. Other symptoms include dizziness, chest pain that radiates to different parts of the left side of the body, a feeling of fear, and weakness in the legs.
