When brain cancer develops, behavioral problems and gastrointestinal disorders may occur, doctors warn.
All types of brain cancer are tumors, but not all brain tumors are malignant – this was reminded in the press by specialists from the British medical organization Cancer Research.
Oncologists state that the abnormal growth of nerve cells leads to the appearance of brain tumors. Abnormal cells can either be found directly in the brain, or they can start in other parts of the body, later moving and forming secondary brain tumors.
According to Cancer Research, symptoms of brain cancer vary depending on the specific part of the organ affected.
- Gastrointestinal symptoms can include a persistent feeling of nausea or vomiting.
- Other signs can include drowsiness, mental or behavioral changes, including memory problems or personality changes.
In turn, the NHS lists the following possible symptoms of brain cancer:
- Headaches.
- Seizures (up to fits).
