Taking a bath can be dangerous for some health problems

Chronic vascular pathologies increase the risk that a person may fall in the bath and seriously injure themselves.

In an interview with a safety expert, health problems were listed that can make you feel unwell while taking a bath. The specialist said that if a person is tired or has drunk, they should not take a bath. In addition, Losevsky reminded, there are chronic diseases in which there is a possibility of loss of consciousness due to a temperature drop.

In particular, taking a bath can be dangerous if there is hypertension or hypotension, other vascular problems, epilepsy.

“When a person tries to get out of the bath, he may faint, which will lead to a fall and a head injury. Also, an unconscious person may fall into a full bath and drown,” the expert warned.

Pavlo Losevsky advised not to take lightly the risks that may arise for a person in a slippery bath – especially in old age. He recommended standing up in the bath only if there is no water in it. In addition, the chances of accidentally falling and getting injured become less with the use of non-slip mats and handrails.
