The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a historic bill on increasing taxes. It provides for an increase in the military levy, but not for everyone.

A total of 247 people's deputies supported the bill No. 11416d.

During the consideration of the draft law in the second reading, the Verkhovna Rada voted for several amendments. In particular, the parliament supported the amendment, which leaves the military levy at the level of 1.5% for military personnel.

For all others, the military tax will increase from 1.5% to 5%.

Tax increase for Ukrainians

Recall that on September 17, the Verkhovna Rada approved the draft amendments to the Tax Code in the first reading. The profile committee of the parliament supported the bill for the second reading on October 4.

The bill provides for an increase in the military levy for citizens and the establishment of a military collection for FOP. Advance income tax payments for gas stations are also being introduced.

In addition, income tax rates for banks will be set at 50%.

Part of the norms from the draft law adopted by the Verkhovna Rada will enter into force. from October 1 retroactively.
