Scientists have told us about what products should be consumed for osteoarthritis, which is the most common form of arthritis. When osteoarthritis occurs, the intra-articular cartilage is destroyed, which leads to painful changes in other parts of the joint, as well as in the muscles and ligaments surrounding the joint.

Scientists have compiled a list of products that should be consumed to prevent the development of arthritis, as well as in cases where there are already initial signs of the disease. In particular, according to researchers, people with chronic joint problems should make sure that their bodies get enough antioxidants, as these substances are particularly effective in helping them resist inflammation. Foods rich in antioxidants include red beans, walnuts, prunes, olive oil, coffee, and cocoa, among others.

In addition, experts recommend consuming foods with prebiotics, such as garlic, onions, and asparagus, for joint problems. Also, foods with beneficial bacteria are important for people prone to arthritis, including natural yogurts, cheese, and sauerkraut.
