Vitamin B6, which consists of three chemically different molecules called pyridoxal, pyridoxamine, and pyridoxine, plays an important role in mental function and mood control. It is believed that the combination of vitamins B6, B12 and folic acid protects against age-related decline in cognitive abilities.
