The chef shared a recipe for delicious crispy potatoes

The cook showed how to achieve an appetizing crust and not dry out the dish.

Morgan Hipworth, a young chef from Australia, posted his own recipe for crispy potatoes on social media. The main trick to the dish was in the preparation of the ingredients. Before frying, the chef suggested boiling the potatoes until soft.

Another key ingredient was spicy oil. To prepare it, Hipworth took regular oil and flavored it with garlic. Usually, a couple of cloves are enough for this process, but Morgan used a whole head. The chef compared the fragrant oil to liquid gold.

The full recipe is as follows:

Ingredients:

  • potatoes – 1.5 kg
  • vegetable oil – 150 ml
  • garlic – 1 head
  • rosemary – 3 tbsp. l.
  • salt – to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Cut the potatoes into large pieces, transfer in a saucepan, cover with water and cook until soft.
  2. Place the potatoes in a colander, let the water drain, then transfer the pieces to a baking sheet until completely dry.
  3. Cook spicy oil Peel the garlic and cut the cloves into slices 2-3 mm thick. Pour oil into a clean pan, add garlic and simmer for 20 minutes. During this time, the slices will become crispy. Remove the garlic, but do not throw it away.
  4. Pour some of the seasoned oil into the pan, add the potatoes and fry until crispy, gradually adding more oil as needed.
  5. When the potato pieces are covered with an appetizing crust , add rosemary, crispy garlic slices and salt. Mix everything well and keep it on the fire for a few more minutes.
  6. Transfer the finished potatoes to a beautiful plate and serve.
