The chefs shared the recipe for the perfect low-salt mackerel

Aroma, appetizing, moderately salty – everyone will like this mackerel. If you also boil potatoes with it, dinner will be fantastically tasty.

Ingredients

The following products are needed for preparation:

  • mackerel – 1 kg;
  • salt – 1 tbsp.
  • sugar – 0.5 tbsp. ;
  • onion – 1 pc.;
  • lemon juice – 0.5 pc. lemon;
  • oil – 30 ml;
  • pepper;
  • bay leaves.

How to cook

The fish should be cleaned and cut into portions. Transfer to a bowl, salt the fish. Add sugar, ground black pepper. Put 2 bay leaves, but break them into several parts.

Cut the onion into half rings. Add to the fish. If there is a green onion, you can also add it. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon over the fish. Drizzle generously with oil. Transfer to a jar, under the lid. Put in the refrigerator for 12 hours. Delicious!
