A woman who used to clean hotel rooms for a living has shared her advice on which items in a rental property you should never use or touch. She told how often they are cleaned and replaced by maids, based on her own experience. The video of the woman was shared by the account texasoutlaw.1973 on TikTok.

A former maid who worked in many hotels revealed why she never drinks the coffee served in her hotel room. According to her, she will use the coffee pot or glassware in her room because the cleaners just wipe them instead of replacing them every time a guest leaves the hotel.

“Usually the maid just rinses these things in the bathroom sink and wipes them down with the same cloth they use to clean the rest of the room. The next thing I would never use or touch in a hotel room would be an ice bucket. Very often, many people use them harmlessly as water bowls for their pets, but it also happens that people do much worse things with them,” she said.

According to the woman, as soon as she enters the hotel room, she removes the bedspread, claiming that it is full of germs and is changed only once a year or if there is a visible stain on it.
