According to a new Cleveland Clinic survey, 46% of Americans believe that the cost of healthy food is the biggest obstacle to a healthy diet. At the same time, experts noted that healthier foods, such as fruits and vegetables, do not necessarily have to be expensive.
In general, eating any fruit is important for cardiovascular health. So choose seasonal and those that are the cheapest in your area.
The survey also showed that some Americans do not know which diets are the most beneficial for their heart. 10% of respondents even chose fast food as a heart-healthy food. In addition, 45% of those surveyed admitted that they buy fast food at least once a week.
Experts also added that proper nutrition alone is not enough for health. Physical activity is also important. And just walking is enough.
