The doctor called the limit of normal blood pressure

According to doctor Aigul Akhmetova, 140/90 is the upper limit of normal blood pressure. However, the World Health Organization does not agree with this.
Experts from the WHO and the American Heart Association believe that any pressure above 120/80 is already a pathology that requires drug therapy and lifestyle changes. However, doctor Aigul Akhmetova believes that there are upper and lower limits of the norm. The lower limit is 90/60, and if your pressure is lower, then you are hypotonic. The upper limit is 140/90, and if the pressure is higher, then this person is hypertensive and needs medication. As a rule, it is lifelong.
Dr. Akhmetova said that young people should visit doctors once every three years and, in particular, measure their blood pressure. At the same time, there is no such thing as a zero risk of high blood pressure due to age. Even a child can have high blood pressure, and age itself is not a one-hundred-percent protection against hypertension. Especially since this pathology is actively getting younger and is becoming more common.
With hypertension, special attention should be paid to physical activity. Yes, overexertion in the gym is categorically contraindicated, as this can lead to an even greater increase in blood pressure and, as a result, a stroke or heart attack.
On the contrary, moderate physical activity such as Nordic walking and swimming is mandatory for a hypertensive person, if he is able to do so. You should also eat less fatty foods with a lot of calories, avoid caffeine, and avoid nervous overexertion. Pay special attention to rest – it is very important to get enough sleep if you have hypertension.
