The doctor explained in an interview the need to change lifestyle after 40 years – one of the reasons for this is the age-related slowdown of metabolic processes.

“After 40 years, harmful substances begin to be excreted from the body more poorly, tissue restructuring continues. In addition, insulin production is worse and enzymatic activity is reduced,” the specialist noted.

The therapist added that these changes affect the processes of food digestion – in particular, after 40 years, some foods, fatty foods, may be less well-received by the body. As a result, seemingly familiar foods begin to cause unpleasant symptoms, indicating problems with the gastrointestinal tract.

The therapist also drew attention to the fact that as we grow older and age, the way the human body processes alcohol changes. The elimination of toxins formed during its breakdown is slowed down – this makes their negative impact on organ tissues more significant.

“The average person after 40 years of age needs to improve their diet and lifestyle,” the doctor emphasized.

The specialist noted that neglecting this principle threatens to increase excess weight and body volume, which, in turn, is associated with the development of many diseases.
