Doctors have asked not to consider garlic as a universal product for the prevention of viruses. As it turned out, it is not suitable for a certain category of people.
The infectious disease doctor explained to whom such a popular food product as garlic should not be eaten. According to her, people suffering from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract should not eat this plant: gastritis, peptic ulcer of the duodenum or stomach. Garlic should not be eaten if a person has kidney problems or gallstone disease. The specialist also noticed that to date it has not been possible to prove the effectiveness of the product in the fight against SARS.
Meanwhile, garlic juice has biologically active substances that are capable of antiviral and antimalarial effects. Due to the content of phytoncides, the plant is able to suppress or eliminate the growth of bacteria.
