The doctor explained what will happen if you swallow gum

A gastroenterologist explained the dangers of regularly swallowing chewing gum.
The chewing gum is made of synthetic rubber, a material that is not digested. However, in the event of a single ingestion, any unpleasant consequences are unlikely to occur. And the fact that chewing gum, once swallowed, supposedly stays in the stomach for years is not true.
But if you swallow chewing gum constantly, the product will accumulate because the body will not be able to eliminate it quickly, and over time a mass will form that is dangerous by blocking the esophagus or intestines.
