Hiking is useful for people diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes, said a general practitioner in an interview.

The doctor informed that the benefits of hiking are multifaceted: thanks to them, cognitive abilities are activated, the hormonal sphere is normalized, and the nervous and cardiovascular systems are strengthened. The doctor emphasized that regular walking is one of the most useful habits for hypertensive patients – their condition can improve thanks to it, so that the need for medication will decrease.

If a person suffers from hypertension, daily walking will help the body maintain normal pressure. Here too, hypertensive patients can drink a reduced dose of medicines.

The doctor also emphasized the positive effect of walking on the quality of night sleep. Evening walks are especially effective in this regard. According to the specialist, they have a positive effect on brain functioning. including its ability to produce melatonin, a hormone that helps you relax and fall asleep quickly at night.

“Walking in the evening helps to improve sleep,” the doctor emphasized.

The specialist added, that walking as a way to normalize hormonal function is recommended for diabetics.

“Walking helps reduce the amount of insulin, which is important for people with diabetes,” he explained expert.
