Geriatrician, Candidate of Medical Sciences Elvira Fisenko reminded that it is during the cold season that the body is vulnerable to various infections and viruses, so its condition must be maintained with the help of natural ingredients.

The doctor reminded that every day a person should consume at least 500 grams of fresh vegetables, berries and fruits. In autumn, sources of vitamins include zucchini, cabbage, beets, sea buckthorn, and rose hips. Apples and grapes are ideal fruits.

To support immunity and minimize the risk of exacerbation of chronic diseases, the doctor advised limiting the consumption of red meat, sausages, and carbonated drinks. It is better to choose fish and diet meat, such as turkey or chicken.

Such nutrition will not only help saturate the body with useful substances, but will also prevent weight gain. In the cold season, many people complain about the appearance of extra numbers on the scales.
