The ways to avoid back pain that can be practiced in everyday life were named by the neurosurgeon Volodymyr Gerasimenko. The doctor states: in order not to face this problem, you don't need to lift weights.
“The most common cause of acute back pain is lifting heavy objects. You always need to think about your workload,” the head of the neurosurgical department of the hospital for war veterans No. 2 warned in an interview.
Gerasimenko advised having a weightlifter's belt or lumbar corset at home. They must be used during activities, jobs that require muscle tension, load.
Also, the doctor touched on such a problem as back pain in the morning. Gerasimenko explained that its appearance is facilitated by slower blood circulation in the spine (this happens due to immobility during sleep). This feature intensifies hypoxia and the adverse symptoms that appear as a consequence.
According to the specialist, warming up will help to avoid pain.
“When we get up, we must overcome the morning pain symptom – warm up the spine, relieve the muscles. When blood circulation is restored, it often becomes easier,” said the doctor.
