“Quince contains iron. Nutritionists say that iron from vegetables and fruits is poorly absorbed, but in fasting conditions, people who may experience iron deficiency due to the rejection of meat should consume vegetables and fruits. Quince is one of these products,” said nutritionist Anna Bilousova.
The specialist noted that, in addition, this fruit has an astringent effect, which can be useful for indigestion. Bilousova also told “Zvezda” that quince must be thoroughly cleaned before eating.
