The doctor named health problems that can lead to a stroke

Therapist: A person's susceptibility to stroke increases with high blood pressure and diabetes.
The therapist warned in an interview that the presence of certain health problems increases the likelihood of developing a stroke. At the same time, the doctor noted: a stroke can be ischemic and hemorrhagic.
“It is associated with blockage of blood vessels by a thrombus or plaque, which is an ischemic stroke. Another type of stroke is hemorrhagic, when a blood vessel simply ruptures and bleeding occurs,” the therapist explained.
The doctor clarified that the risk of ischemic stroke increases for a person due to existing atherosclerosis, diabetes, high blood pressure, and increased blood clotting.
As for hemorrhagic stroke, its occurrence is facilitated by such a health problem as uncontrolled hypertension. The higher the blood pressure rises, the more significant the risk of stroke, which is associated with the rupture of a blood vessel in the brain.
