The doctor named products that are dangerous for diabetics and healthy people
For people suffering from type 2 diabetes, certain foods can be dangerous and can also harm the body of those who do not have this condition disease, – an endocrinologist told about it.
The doctor reminded that diabetics are primarily dangerous for foods rich in quickly digestible carbohydrates – they are quickly digested and immediately give a very significant increase in the level of glucose in the blood.
The doctor considers sweet and flour dishes to be one of the most dangerous for diabetes (especially those that contain both sugar and white flour at once).
“Diabetics should exclude sweets and pastries that contain a lot of amount of simple carbohydrates. Sharply increasing the blood sugar level, they require a rapid release of insulin, but problems can arise with this. Usually, this quick response is precisely what patients with type 2 diabetes suffer from,” the endocrinologist warned.
But the doctor called these products, which are dangerous for diabetics, harmful to healthy people as well. Frequent consumption of sweet and floury food, which contributes to insulin spikes, can provoke the development of addiction and decrease in sensitivity to the hormone, insulin resistance. This disorder leads to the development of metabolic disorders, the same as type 2 diabetes.
In addition, diabetics should not combine foods that contain complex carbohydrates in one meal: cereals, potatoes, bread. It is recommended to eat them separately.
