According to the endocrinologist, the most useful for cardiac m oat and stomach, digestive tract is oatmeal.
The doctor said in an interview that oats provide the human body with protein, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, iron, sodium, zinc, B vitamins, vitamin E, amino acids, antioxidants. The doctor also noted that oat groats contain a special type of dietary fiber – beta-glucans, which can bind to cholesterol in the intestines and remove it naturally. Thanks to this, oatmeal contributes to the prevention of high cholesterol in the blood.
Given the ability of oats to reduce cholesterol, its use is recommended to strengthen the health of the cardiovascular system.

The endocrinologist added that eating oatmeal helps people with diabetes and obesity absorb carbohydrates more slowly. This, in turn, prolongs the feeling of satiety, protects against overeating.
“The proteins of oat groats help to improve the metabolism of cholesterol and lipids in the body, so they are useful for liver and heart diseases,” said the doctor.
The specialist specified that whole grains bring the greatest benefit and advised not to eat instant porridge.
Talking about the benefits of oats for the stomach, the endocrinologist reported that the mucous decoction has a good effect on the digestive tract.
In general, the expert believes, it is still impossible to unequivocally name any one exceptionally useful cereal among all. The same oatmeal should not be eaten more than three times a week due to the content of phytic acid, which impairs the absorption of some trace elements.
