According to a nutritionist, foods that have many useful properties, for example, fish, can have a negative effect on the body's condition.
The doctor said in an interview that one of the useful products that can harm the body is spinach. This vegetable product provides the body with important vitamins and microelements, but at the same time it contains acid, which can spoil the well-being in cases where there is a violation of purine bases.
“Using spinach can lead to gout, stones in kidneys, inflammatory diseases of the joints,” the doctor warned.
It is also dangerous to eat spinach if there are chronic problems with the gastrointestinal tract. What it threatens: the symptoms of gastritis and stomach ulcers may worsen.
Another useful product that can harm the body is meat. Thanks to its use, we get protein and valuable amino acids, iron, potassium, magnesium, B vitamins. However, if you have joint problems, you should eat meat with extreme caution.
“Regular consumption of red meat threatens with disturbances in mineral and fat metabolism. People with inflammatory joint diseases and gout should completely exclude beef from their diet,” the specialist shared her recommendation.
Healthy people, the doctor clarified, should eat no more than 500 g of beef per week.
< p>The nutritionist also commented on the possible risks associated with eating fish. The expert said that fish swimming in polluted waters accumulates mercury and lead. Metal poisoning threatens the human body with severe disorders that affect its system (for example, nervous, endocrine).
“This especially applies to such types of fish as mackerel, tuna, pangasius, marlin,” the doctor listed.
