Products such as chocolate, celery, fish, and berries help maintain active mental processes and concentration during the day.
It is well known that during the working day there are periods when mental activity begins to weaken – at such moments there are problems with concentration and the ability to focus, people experience a decrease in tone, a state of “brain fog.” Nutritionist Olena Sviridova said in an interview that food can be a stimulant of cognitive activity during the day.
The specialist called red fish one of the products for improving concentration.
The expert believes that celery is another product capable of “pumping” cognitive functions: its positive effect is explained by the presence of a complex of vitamins important for neural processes (celery contains vitamins A, E, B, K). In addition, chocolate with a high cocoa content, as well as cocoa itself in the form of a drink, provides brain support.
“Dark chocolate contributes to the release of serotonin and endorphins, which help maintain attention,” the nutritionist clarified.
Coffee and berries (specifically blueberries) also activate the brain. Speaking of coffee, Sviridova advised not to abuse its quantity – excess caffeine only contributes to nervous and mental exhaustion. As for blueberries, a handful of this berry in your daily diet not only improves concentration during the day, but also promotes stress resistance and protects the brain from age-related decline.
