The doctor talked about foods with iron that are useful for consumption

Iron deficiency leads to a decrease in the activity of enzymatic systems, causes asthenic syndrome, the doctor reminded.

When the body lacks iron, the number of cells that carry oxygen decreases in the blood. This often results in asthenia – constant weakness, lethargy, a rapid drop in tone, drowsiness, and a general deterioration in well-being. Iron deficiency also negatively affects the thyroid gland, worsens the condition of hair, skin, and nails.

There is very little iron in apples. Because they quickly oxidize and “rust”, it seems that apples are “iron”, – the doctor shared.

According to the doctor, one of the best sources of iron for the body is offal.

“Offal – liver, kidneys, heart, brains – really contain a lot of iron”, – the doctor noted.

Also, he added, the important trace element should be sought in spinach, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, and raw tofu. Red products contain almost no iron.
