Peaches and apricots are traditional guests of the Ukrainian summer table. However, as it turned out, these seasonal fruits are not useful for everyone.
Peaches and apricots should be treated with caution to children, because these fruits are highly allergenic products. People with diabetes and high acidity of the stomach should not eat them. Southern fruits should be prohibited during exacerbation of chronic diseases, such as gastritis, pancreatitis and various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. By the way, despite the low calorie content (about 45 calories per 100 grams), nutritionists do not recommend eating peaches and apricots for overweight people.
Others can eat these fruits without fear. Moreover, they are rich in various vitamins and useful substances. For example, thanks to the high content of antioxidants, peaches and apricots help maintain the tone of blood vessels and keep blood pressure normal.
Peaches are also useful for those who care for vision. They have a lot of beta-carotene, vitamin A, carotenoids and lutein, which is why they have a beneficial effect on strengthening the retina.
Individual nutritionists advise pregnant women to eat peaches. Especially those who have toxicosis. These fruits will eliminate nausea. They will also help to cope with constipation and remove excess fluid from the body.
