The doctor urged to eat white bread with caution

Passion for white bread and its consumption in large quantities can increase the risk of developing cancer, in particular, colon cancer – warn medical experts.
In his interview, pharmacist Hussein Abdeh talked about “everyday food”, the constant consumption of which can cause the development of colon cancer – a malignant tumor, arising in the colon or rectum. The doctor considers bakery products made from white refined flour to be such food.
βThe main product of many kitchens β white bread β can potentially cause cancer,β said Hussein Abdeh.
According to the doctor, cleaned of shell refined, polished grain and white flour is a product that is characterized by a high concentration of quickly digestible carbohydrates – eating it increases the level of sugar in the blood, to which the body responds by releasing insulin. Frequent consumption of such food, which leads to a sharp increase in the concentration of glucose in the blood and insulin, can contribute to the development of insulin resistance. It is with the occurrence of this disorder that the development of colorectal cancer is associated.
Abdeh explained that high blood sugar and diabetes are closely related to increased oxidative stress and inflammation in the body – this, in turn, serves as a favorable environment for the development of processes leading to cancer.
However, not all doctors share the opinion that the use of white bread contributes to the development of colorectal cancer. In this regard, they believe that it is not the consumption of a single product that is important, but the entire type of human nutrition, his tendency to overeat and the presence of obesity associated with eating habits.
