The expert pointed out four negative effects of oatmeal

Eating seemingly healthy oatmeal can harm muscles and digestion.
These products contain a lot of sugar and saturated fatty acids, which, if consumed excessively, can cause increased cholesterol and sugar levels, and contribute to the development of diabetes.
Can spoil quickly. The expert warns: only when stored properly in airtight packaging can oatmeal remain tasty for a long time. If the packaging is damaged, the oatmeal can quickly become moldy.
Promotes muscle weakness. At first glance, oatmeal contains an impressive 14 g of protein per 100 g of product. At the same time, it also contains a large amount of dietary fiber, which swells in the stomach and therefore saturates well.
Thus, eating oatmeal can suppress hunger for a long time – as a result, a person refuses to eat and does not receive enough of the nutrients that help maintain and build muscle mass throughout the day.
Causes digestive problems. One of the advantages of oats is that it (depending on the variety) does not contain gluten or contains very little of it. Gluten is a protein found in cereals that can be digested by the body, causing unpleasant digestive problems.
But few people know that oatmeal contains avenin, a protein that is very similar in its effects to gluten. Therefore, after eating it, bloating, gas, abdominal pain, and impaired bowel movements are possible.
