The first dishes that can harm health
If you follow your diet and take care of your health, you should also pay attention to soups – liquid hot dishes really “like” the stomach, but their composition is sometimes no better than that of a burger in a fast food restaurant.
Since childhood, we have been told that soups should be on the menu every day. Or at least several times a week. In canteens, there are always several types of first courses on the menu – most often they are the “heritage” of Soviet canteens – borscht, chicken broth with noodles, kharcho. Now there are many soups – Asian, Eastern, and European dishes have gained popularity in our country, as well as author's soups that can be tried only in certain establishments.
But not all soups are equally useful, especially if you have have health problems or you carefully monitor them. For example, all pureed soups are less healthy than first courses of the same products because they lose fiber. Of course, there can be many soup recipes. Let's consider the most popular.
The most harmful soup is brine. It contains fatty rich broth, smoked meats, salting, which makes this soup dangerous for hypertensives, heart patients and people with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. Is it possible to make brine less harmful? It seems so. But if you remove the pickles, smoked meats, hot spices and make the broth lighter, it will be a completely different soup that has nothing to do with solyanka.
Lagman, like solyanka, contains a lot of fat and a decent dose of fast carbohydrates It is not recommended for people with high cholesterol and those who want to lose weight. Chicken noodle soup can be no less harmful if you prepare it from fatty parts of the chicken, for example, backs. But a light broth with a small amount of noodles will not be an obstacle to health.
As for borscht, kharcho and other similar soups, a lot depends on the specific recipe. If you use high-quality products, avoid fatty broth and do not indulge in harmful additives, the soup will not do any harm.
