  • lard – 2 kg;
  • water – 5 glasses;
  • salt – 1 glass;
  • ground black pepper;
  • garlic;
  • bay leaves.

How to cook

Cooking begins with dissolving salt in water, bringing it to a boil. Allow to cool to room temperature. Now prepare a spicy mixture.

For it, mix bay leaves with ground black pepper and granulated garlic. Grind it all together to combine the flavors.

Cut the lard into small pieces. Rub each of them with the prepared mixture. Transfer the lard to a jar or bowl. Pour in the brine and cover with a lid, but not too tight. The preparation should remain for a week indoors at room temperature.
