According to research, adding one drink to your diet can be even more effective than exercise. So, cucumber juice can help in the fight against hypertension.
Researchers divided the experiment participants into two groups. The first one took cucumber juice every day for a week. The second group did brisk walking for 20-30 minutes eight times over two weeks. As a result, it turned out that cucumber juice was more effective than brisk walking.
In those who drank the juice of this simple vegetable, systolic blood pressure decreased by 10.2 mm Hg. Art., diastolic – by 8.8 mm Hg. at the same time, in the participants from the other group, the first indicator decreased by 4 mm Hg. art., the second – by 3.5 mm Hg. Art. elderly people participated in the study. They were diagnosed with hypertension.
