The Key to Longevity: The Three Best Teas That Extend Life
0
Tea is one of the most useful drinks in the world, say scientists from around the world. They named three species that can reduce the risk of dangerous diseases.
Rooibos
Chamomile tea
Scientists from the University of Texas Medical Branch analyzed data on 1,677 men and women over the age of 60 and studied how chamomile tea consumption promotes longevity. The study found that tea helped reduce the risk of death by almost a third compared to those who did not drink tea. It is noted that one of the most important mechanisms of action of chamomile tea is its powerful antioxidant and antibacterial properties.
Green tea
Green tea leaves contain powerful antioxidants called polyphenols, which help prevent cancer, heart disease, osteoporosis and other chronic problems. Researchers found that participants who drank green tea at least three times a week were less likely to have a heart attack or stroke over the next seven years. Tea lovers also had a slightly longer life expectancy.
