The main sign of imminent death has been identified

A new publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association Internal Medicine is devoted to the work of scientists from the Medical School of the University of Exeter (Great Britain). According to the data presented in it, experts have discovered a connection between changes in blood pressure and human death.

The tendency to lower blood pressure in old age may be a sign of death in the foreseeable future, the authors of the study concluded. The conclusion of the experts is based on the data of their analysis of the deaths of almost 50 thousand people.

All people covered by the study died at the age of 60 and older. According to the scientists, among them were those who did not complain about their health, as well as those who, on the contrary, had various disorders caused by cardiovascular abnormalities, dementia and hypertension.

After analyzing the collected data, the researchers found that in all categories of people there was a gradual decrease in blood pressure, which began approximately 14 years before their death.

“Lowering blood pressure for elderly patients poses a serious danger, although this does not mean that in later life it is not necessary to treat hypertension, achieving a decrease in blood pressure,” said co-author of the study George Kushel in this regard.
