The maximum daily dose of coffee has been named

British nutritionist Michael Mosley has named the maximum daily dose of coffee that will not harm your health.

The specialist claims that if you drink no more than three cups of the invigorating drink per day, it will not only not harm the body, but will also help strengthen the health of the heart and brain. Mosley made these conclusions based on a study of half a million people, which found that the hearts of coffee lovers function better than those who never drink it.

Despite the possible benefits, the nutritionist advised not to drink coffee immediately after waking up, especially if the night turned out to be restless. Mosley explained: this drink can increase the level of the stress hormone cortisol, which is already higher than usual after a bad night's sleep. According to him, such a surge in the hormone can raise blood sugar levels to unhealthy levels. To avoid this, the doctor advised drinking coffee at least an hour after waking up.
