Planned schedules of blackouts in Ukraine were introduced to stabilize the system after the massive attack by the Russians on August 26.
“Yesterday's attack is one of the most massive attacks specifically on energy. 127 missiles, 109 drones were launched by the enemy, many of them really caused significant destruction to the energy system, significant damage,” she said.
According to her, “Ukrenergo” yesterday had to implement schedules of emergency shutdowns and emergency shutdowns in order to protect the integrity of the system.
“Scheduled shutdowns will be in effect until we manage to stabilize the operation of the power system,” said Grynchuk.

The representative of the Ministry of Energy reported that an assessment of damage is currently underway at all facilities, and where possible, energy workers have started emergency restoration work in order to restore the normal operation of the power system as soon as possible.
