The most useful fruit for supporting the heart is avocado, says Dr. Suzanna Steinbaum, a cardiologist from New York.
The specialist states that some foods are more beneficial for the heart than others. Dr. Steinbaum recommends eating the healthiest fruit every day – avocado.
“Avocado contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which are necessary for a healthy diet for the heart. These types of fats are very useful – studies link them to reducing inflammation and the level of “bad” LDL cholesterol. Personally, I eat half every day,” the cardiologist told the Well+Good portal.
