Scammers who were involved in falsifying drugs for cancer patients were caught in Ukraine.

Fake medicines worth millions of hryvnias were seized from them during searches, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reports. This is the cancer drug Keytruda (manufactured by the USA and Austria), which is an innovative method of treating 15 types of cancer.

The criminals established illegal production and further sale in Ukraine and abroad. Foreigners were also involved.

“After documenting the fact of illegal sale of 6 vials of counterfeit Keytruda medicine worth 7 thousand dollars, three people were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine,” the report said.

Primary investigative actions, based on the results of which individuals will be notified of suspicion, and searches are ongoing.
