The nutritionist told if you can eat sweets at night.
It is generally accepted that sweet snacks in the evening negatively lead to gaining excess body weight. However, according to the expert, this is not quite the case.
She explained that a study was conducted in which two groups of volunteers were asked to consume the same amount of calories, while the participants of the first ate a carbohydrate meal at night, and the second is not. As a result, it turned out that weight loss in both groups occurred at the same level.
In this regard, it can be concluded that sweets at night will not harm the figure, if the total amount consumed per day calories do not exceed their consumption. However, the expert warned that if such a principle works in the matter of losing weight, it does not mean that it is beneficial for health.
“It is relatively unimportant where these calories come from, the body knows how to “get” energy of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, many diets are based on this. It only matters for your health whether you get calories from whole grains and proteins or from fast carbohydrates,” she explained.
