According to her, there is no point in choosing trendy and expensive superfoods, as they can always be replaced with familiar and cheaper products. . In particular, instead of quinoa, spelled and wild rice, she advised to include buckwheat, wheat and oatmeal in the diet. “All these cereals are whole grain and completely interchangeable. You shouldn't buy expensive cereals just because it's fashionable,” the nutritionist explained.
She listed other products that will also be an excellent part of a healthy diet:
- regular milk, instead of lactose-free or vegetable milk (if there is no discomfort after drinking it);
- green tea or coffee instead of matcha;
- whole grain flour. “Rice, wheat, oat – the type is not important at all!” – added the expert;
- an egg and a glass of milk instead of spirulina;
- nuts and flax seeds instead of chia seeds;
- ghee instead of expensive DHI oil;
- whole nuts instead of nut paste.

In addition, the nutritionist advised to be careful with fructose, Jerusalem artichoke syrup and agave nectar, which are often called “healthy” alternatives to sugar. In fact, it is the same added sugar, but with a slightly lower glycemic index. “In addition, a false sense of security is created, and the bar of chocolate on agave nectar is eaten,” she warned.
