Nutritionist: giving up milk will improve your condition skin and relieve mood swings.
Amy Shapiro, MD, nutritionist, stated that adults do not need cow's milk, and gave four good reasons to give it up.
The specialist says that today there are many alternatives to milk for adults, which contain calcium, vitamins A, D and other useful substances. According to her, giving up this product can have a positive effect on the state of mind and body, for example, it will improve the condition of the skin. “If you have an intolerance to milk protein that you don't suspect, there is a chance that giving up this category of products will affect the condition of your epidermis – there will be fewer rashes, acne and eczema will subside,” explains Shapiro.
Also, according to the nutritionist, milk contains many hormones, so regular consumption of this drink can cause an imbalance of estrogen and testosterone in the human body, which ultimately leads to drastic mood swings. Giving up cow's milk, she declares, will get rid of these sharp changes.
Another positive effect the nutritionist calls the improvement of the general condition of the intestines: the likelihood of diarrhea will decrease, gas formation will decrease, and the bloating that occurs due to that lactose is difficult for the body to absorb.
In conclusion, Shapiro adds that milk and dairy products should be avoided if there are signs of a food allergy to them. In addition to individual lactose intolerance, there are other types of allergies to this product. The two most common of these—food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome and eosinophilic esophagitis—are caused by proteins and peptides found in milk.
