However, at the same time, cereals are quite high in calories, therefore, it is not recommended to use them in large quantities, to add a lot of milk or butter. The nutritionist also added that it is desirable to use different types of cereals in the daily diet.

“One of the richest cereals in terms of protein is pearl barley. No wonder it is included in the army ration. Buckwheat porridge, oat, flax, and amaranth porridge are also useful for those who cannot tolerate gluten,” said the nutritionist.

According to her, boiled groats can be used with anything, but should be excluded from diet such a combination as porridge and sausages. “You can add nuts, raisins and various “superfoods”, such as chia seeds, goji berries and so on. But I would not recommend porridge with sausages and sausages, because it is a difficult product to digest,” concluded the doctor.
