The oncologist explained what bitterness in the mouth means and how to deal with it

In most cases, this indicates the entry of bile into the stomach.

Bitterness in the mouth, burning and a yellow coating on the tongue are almost always evidence of the entry of bile from the duodenum into the stomach. This was told by a surgeon and oncologist.

In the stomach, bile mixes with the hydrochloric acid present there, and due to such a disease as insufficiency of the gastric cardia or hernia of the esophageal opening of the diaphragm, it first enters the esophagus and then the mouth.

“There are situations when this process is chronic, causes chronic laryngitis and so on. Accordingly, you need to do a gastroscopy, ultrasound of the abdominal cavity and consult a gastroenterologist,” advises the specialist.

The oncologist assured that the treatment of such problems takes only two to three weeks, after which they no longer occur.
