The perfect dessert: a classic apple strudel recipe
The famous Austrian delicacy – apple strudel is usually the most popular. Juicy apples, cinnamon, a cup of hot coffee or tea are the perfect atmospheric combination.

Try to make such a dessert at home according to a classic recipe.
With 250 g of sifted flour, 125 ml of water, one and a half tablespoons of vegetable oil, a pinch of salt, knead the dough thoroughly. Lay down the parchment paper, sprinkle it with flour.
The dough should rest a little. After that, it needs to be rolled out thinly, having previously kneaded it into a cake.
Then stretch it in different directions so that its dimensions are approximately 70 cm by 50 cm. Spread it on the table on parchment, smear it well with melted butter .
For the filling: pour about 50-100 g of raisins with rum or cognac – about two tablespoons. Mix the melted butter with a teaspoon of vanilla sugar and two tablespoons of breadcrumbs. Alternatively, you can replace them with small nuts or cookies to taste, or you can combine these ingredients.
Approximately 700-800 g of apples should be peeled and cut into small cubes, sprinkled with lemon juice (about two teaspoons). On the long side of the rectangle of dough, put the prepared filling, cut apples, chopped nuts on top, sprinkle with two tablespoons of sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon. After that, lift the edge of the dough and put it on top of the filling. Take the edges of the paper under the dough and wrap the strudel into a roll.
Grease a baking sheet and place the roll on it. It is better to cut off the excess ends of the dough. Grease the roll with melted butter. Bake the dessert for 30-40 minutes. Then let it cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
