Observations carried out in the USA have shown that different times of the day in this matter bring different benefits, depending on the gender of the person. And while research has shown a clear relationship between the time of day and weight loss, it's still unclear where it comes from. It may be influenced by hormones, sleep cycles, and other biological differences between men and women.
Women have been shown to benefit most from exercise in the morning, not in the evening. Late training, on the contrary, brings advantages to men. However, the study was particularly large, involving only 30 men and 26 women.
All volunteers were healthy, and their age ranged from 25 to 55 years. The first group trained for an hour until 8:30 a.m., and the second group trained from 6 to 8 p.m. All of them followed a special diet.
The research suggests that men and women need special training programs, and it is better for the fairer sex to visit the gym in the morning to get rid of excess weight and lower blood pressure. If women are primarily interested in building muscle mass, then classes should be held in the evenings.
In addition, evening training is more useful for women's mood, and for men in general. At the same time, the choice of training time for men had much less influence on them than on women.
