The same foods affect the microflora of different people differently – study

Products from the same food group have different effects on the intestinal microflora of different people. Therefore, scientists believe that diets prescribed by doctors should be developed individually.

A study by specialists from the University of Minnesota proves that there are no universal healthy diets, since products, even the most useful, affect the bodies of different people differently.

“Products even from the same food group have different effects on intestinal bacteria, which indicates the need for an individual approach to diets and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.”

Experts argue that dividing products into categories is pointless, since within each of them there are products that have a completely different effect on the intestinal microflora.
