The “secret” ingredient for delicious fish soup

You can make many dishes from fresh river fish. But almost all of them use fillets – carp, catfish, crucian carp. But the fish also has other tasty pieces (spine, head, tail, “tummy”). These are the ones you can use to make a delicious fish soup.

Pour 1.5 liters of water over 400 g of soup stock. Add 1-2 bay leaves, 1-2 allspice peas, 4-5 pcs. black pepper, 1 onion cut crosswise. Cook for 20-30 minutes after boiling.

While the broth is cooking, chop 1 onion, 1 carrot and 5 potatoes. Strain the finished broth, remove the meat from the bones.

Pour 2 tablespoons of oil into an empty saucepan and fry the onion in it, add the carrots (stew for 2-3 minutes).

Pour the broth, throw in the potatoes, salt and boil for 5-7 minutes. Pour in 200 g of cream, bring to a boil, add the herbs and let it brew under the lid for 10-15 minutes.

It is the cream that is the important ingredient thanks to which the fish soup will not leave anyone indifferent – they will eat everything to the last drop!
